Contactless Guest Experience a Key Focus for Skift and Zingle

Built on high-touch, personalized service and experiences, it’s no secret that travel and hospitality brands are facing many new challenges when it comes to delivering customer experiences that meet customer concerns and expectations for contactless interactions. As a result, businesses have had to adapt on the fly, reconfiguring the entirety of their operations in order to keep their customers and staff safe. Of course, many of the same organizations have had to undertake these massive changes with reduction in staff and overall resources. Suffice it to say, the pandemic has been the ultimate stress test for travel, making Skift Global Forum 2020 even more prescient as a way to explore best practices and learnings that are critical for businesses across the industry.

On September 23 at 1.30 PM ET, Ford Blakely, the founder of Zingle, will be joined by Anders Tylman-Mikielwicz, Chief Product Officer at MGM Resorts International, for an engaging fireside chat entitled “Creating Contactless Experiences That Resonate With Guests.” Since the onset of the pandemic, hospitality brands across the U.S. have been leveraging Medallia Zingle’s mobile messaging platform to power real-time guest experiences at scale with almost no physical contact. While limiting the need for risky interactions and most importantly keeping guests and staff safe, clients have been able to transform traditionally high-touch interactions to contactless while elevating the guest experience.

MGM Resorts International recently rolled out a detailed seven-point safety plan, which includes a variety of contactless check-in options for their guests utilizing digital keys, self-serve key encoders and mobile communication. With these new protocols in place to ensure that health and safety are prioritized at every stage of their customer journey, Ford and Anders will discuss why real-time and contactless communication is critical to delivering a safe and satisfying guest experience.

Skift Global Forum will also feature thought-provoking sessions from Barry Diller, Chairman, Expedia; Arne Sorenson, CEO, Marriott; Keith Barr, CEO, IHG; Sébastien Bazin, Chairman & CEO, Accor, Scott Kirby, CEO, United Airlines and many other industry leaders who will discuss the future of travel.

With recent research from Medallia Zingle finding that 79% of consumers say they will seek out information on a business’s health and safety standards before visiting in person, evidence points toward a future centered on proactive communication and touchless interactions  From contactless check-in to touchless feedback pulses, organizations’ ability to adapt quickly to contactless experiences that keep all staff and guests safe has been a defining moment for the industry.

As we continue to adapt to this evolving landscape, Skift Global Forum 2020 is the perfect opportunity to learn from other leaders and hear how their cutting-edge ideas have contributed to industry recovery. We hope you’ll join us for what’s sure to be an incredibly insightful event.
